At last most of the work is over and now have to get cleaned up and the stock fed and bedded before Nevil can put his feet up. Unfortunately in the mad rush of the last few weeks the whole farm is in chaos, but half a day of tidying up and putting things back in the right place will soon get us back to normal. Then Bella, Richy, Hubert, Klaudia and the rest of the team will all be having a well deserved break from the farm for 2 weeks.
 We are always asked what we have for Christmas dinner, Well we have a fantastic goose hopefully with all the trimmings, although when the twins were babies we have had mashed potatoes! We never have the goose stuffed (i believe that it spoils the cooking) but we always have bread sauce, red cabbage and cranberry sauce. Hopefully we get a large goose so there is some leftovers to make a delicious cassolet for boxing day to eat with some crusty bread after a walk in the devon countryside.
We like to indulge in cooked breakfasts with tasty Drewsteignton bangers and Elsa's duck eggs and pancakes. Hopefully for a few days Nevil has less to do on the farm and with no orders going out he can relax and enjoy time with all the family!
