Summer Fun At Higher Fingle |
During the summer holidays, here at Higher Fingle we love eating and cooking outdoors. Who cares about the weather, the kids don't seem to notice if it's cold or raining. Nevil has developed a fantastic spatchcock chicken that is perfect for bbq's ( or in the oven if raining!) These are available direct from the farm at the same price as whole chickens, just follow the links to the chicken order page.
With better weather, things get a little easier on the farm which allows us time to get out and about, maybe even a few trips to the beach. This year we have Anais, a French agricultural student staying to learn about poultry processing and sales. Anais is running our stall at the local produce markets in Hittisleigh and Tedburn, luckily her English language is brilliant! Do come and see us or as usual if you are in the Drewsteignton Area call in and visit the farm. During the weekend of September 6th, 7th and 8th we are opening our doors as part of the Devon Artists Network, a two week celebration of the wide range of talents in Devon, to see more visit www.devonartistnetwork.co.uk
We are also celebrating being named finalist in the Country Living/ Waitrose Made In Britain Awards for Elsa's eggs and Organic Duck. So fingers crossed in mid September and you will all have the chance to see some fantastic photos in the October issue of Country Living.
